Mothering Sunday, Post Communion (Redub)

Nurturing God,

as a baby is fed at a mother's breast,

so we are nourished with bread and wine.

Just as you sustain us with your love,

gift us with the desire to

nurture your world and feed the hungry.

(In 2013 Epiphany was the first Sunday, Baptism of Christ was the 2nd Sunday. The 2nd Sunday of Epiphany prayers don't get used, but we move straight to the 3rd Sunday prayers for 20 - 26 January and then the 4th Sunday prayers for 27 January till Friday 1st February).

Generous God

in what we have said, heard and shared together,

we have found your love.

We have met you in friend and stranger.

May we find you in all the

people and places of our lives.

We hope and pray your love will be seen in us too.

your good news is for the whole world.

We pray that your gifts of love

will be shared among the peoples of the earth.

Send your Holy Spirit and inspire us to

feed the hungry, release the captives,

and set the oppressed free.
