First few days back at work

I'm wrecked from the long-haul flight and coming straight back into work. I'm enjoying the wake of Sunday's civic service (sermon below on the blog). David Rowland speaks at Chapel: he's been volunteering as an ecumenical accompanier in Nablus, Palestine. Very moved. I get so choked up attempting to announce the peace after. Gurdeep and Darminder help make the inter-faith dialogue event with Sikhs, B'hais and Christians very special. It is amazing to hear from Gurdeep that when invited to join the spiritual care team in 2003 she was very cynical and wary of saying yes because she thought it was tokenism, and it is equally amazing to hear her say how wrong she was.
