side drum before bells

Went to Sheffield to see Sally who's getting married in 3 weeks. We had a catch-up between a rehearsal and evening concert where she was playing side drum. Clare and her man James joined us for food, good fun. I enjoyed the Brahms piano concerto (no. 2), can't wait for the wedding. Three days later it was down to Birmingham to drop off various things for Emma Louis which have been sitting in my garage for 5 years. I hadn't seen her for three years, and I got to meet her new boyfriend Dan: useful moving on stuff. They'll both be at the wedding too, so it was good to catch up with things in advance of then.
