truly scrumptious

The summer ball was exceptional for having less music than usual due to public health interventions on noise. That meant people talked to one another much more. In fact the marquee in the quad was the busiest place, even though the guy doing ‘unplugged’ covers was only loud enough to be heard by those nearest to him.

I went to Derby the following day to see my sister, nieces, brother-in-law, step brother and his partner. The time was full of trampolining, swingball, good food and musical performance. My youngest niece did a rendition of ‘Truy Scrumptious’ from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, in front of everyone, sang at me - it was lovely.

In addition to those six, I’ve been in touch with another eight friends over the weekend - scrummy!
