how's the writing holiday going?

Hey -- I've been house sitting in London and hanging out in Cambridgeshire writing in the mornings and partying afternoons and later.

Highlights have been
*getting to 30,000 words of relatively clean text for chapters 1 and 2
*getting to three world music proms (Bobby McFerrin, Ravi Shankar and the big highlight was Baaba Maal from Senegal http://www.bbc.co.uk/proms/whatson/1308.shtml )
* getting to three exhibitions and going swimming and cycling around London
* the company of two inspiring families (in Bourn and Dulwich)
* seeing many good friends in all sorts of places, including a dark wood!

Now I'm back in York. Still writing. Going rowing a bit, and getting ready for Greenbelt.
