Collect, Third Sunday of Advent (Redub)

Jesus Christ, our friend, our guide,

your cousin, John the Baptist,

in his mother’s womb, leaped to meet you.

We hope we will feel like leaping for joy

as your love changes our lives.

Later, John prepared the way for you

and baptized you in the river Jordan.

Help us prepare your way for people and planet.

Amen.
