O God,
you know we find
threat and opportunity,
strength and weakness,
within us and around us.
There is sometimes so much of this
we don’t know which way is up.
Give us both strength to be
and protection as we seek to transform
our world, one small step at a time,
through Jesus Christ our rescuer.
