2nd Sunday before Lent, Collect (Redub)

God our creator,

in the beginning the Spirit swooped

and you made everything;

the stars and sun, the moon and sky,

the sea and the land.

Each and every creature was

loved into being by you.

You formed us out of earth and

breathed us alive in your own image.

In Christ all this holds together.

Help us notice you in everything.

Amen.

*In 2013 this falls on a Sunday 3rd February, which can also be the Sunday for celebrating Candlemas (The Presentation of Christ in the Temple). This Sunday is usually sexagesima unless Easter arrives very early.
