Holy Places

The Bishop's sermon on Wednesday was helpful -- he talked about holy ground being those places where moments of signficance have occurred -- I've been thinking of many places which have become sacred in that way for me over my life time. I went to Flamborough Head today, the image of the lighthouse there is iconic to me -- because we had a painting of it in my childhood home, and because of some very special trips there over the last 30 years. I celebrated the sense of the sacred there this afternoon.
