What a weird week full of weird services -- like buses they come along in threes I guess! I couldn't have managed that Our Lady of Walsingham one myself -- the visitors seemed to enjoy it though.
Tuesday's first virtual 3D service -- well, one for the album, and I hope this coming Sunday's one will be an improvement, and that my connection stays up for the duration, since I'm leading again.
Yesterday it was the rededication of the College Chapel -- we had the Bishop hammering on the doors, and fabulous music spanning 1300 years of Christian history. I've written a list of everyone who helped, it came to about fifty people, a superb team effort.
I was glad to get away today for a quiet day, after all that hub-bub and frenzy. I wandered across the playing fields at Ampleforth Abbey and College -- found a rugby ball and managed a couple of drop kick conversions in the stillness of the day! Rattling the posts with a near miss was a real shock -- the posts clanged for about 15 seconds getting mixed up with the May-time birdsong.
